LAUREN A. KOSTAS

Lauren Kostas focuses on helping companies achieve results by constructing workplace environments where employees get the information they need to make decisions that benefit the customer as well as the bottom line.

Recently, for United Airlines, Lauren was a core member and communications lead on the launch team to develop and rollout “lean” processes to transform airport operations.  She developed and executed strategies to provide frontline employees with information and motivation to successfully navigate the new operational environment.

She also was a lead member of the implementation team that launched United’s new global compensation program that linked a portion of pay for all employees to performance against critical organizational goals.  Key to the success of the program was creating a clear line of sight for employees that connected their actions with financial and operational metrics.

Other clients for whom Lauren has delivered strategy execution include Baxter International, Inc., Exelon Corporation and International Truck and Engine Corporation.

Lauren began her career as an associate with the law firm Hughes & Luce, LLP, in Dallas. Her practice area was business reorganization, where she counseled clients in turnaround situations.

Seeking an opportunity to grow a business, Lauren left the practice of law to join the Chicago office of Co-Counsel, Inc., a $60 million national legal staffing company. There, she served as director of the corporate development team, which was responsible for launching new offices and product lines, training key hires and integrating acquired companies.  She coached regional and local management and front-line employees to drive service improvements and increase sales.
